Choose the onward route

|---|---|
| Nampo / Jagalchi | Use the Line 1 route in the appropriate direction and check the stop closest to your destination. |
| Seomyeon | Check the Line 1 service towards Seomyeon. |
| Haeundae | One metro option is Line 1 to Seomyeon, then Line 2 towards Haeundae; check current service. |
| Late arrival | Check the last connection and a taxi alternative before leaving the railway station. |
Train station, subway station and destination
Busan’s intercity railway station and the Metro Line 1 stop serve different parts of the journey. Follow signs to the subway, choose the correct direction and keep any separate local-transport fare ready. The diagram above is a travel-planning aid, not a station floor plan or an exit recommendation.
Bags, lifts and meeting points
Choose a meeting point that both people can identify rather than simply saying “Busan Station”. If you need step-free access or luggage storage, check the current station facility information before travel; space and assistance should not be assumed available. Save the hotel address in Korean for the final leg.
Busan Station is the main city-centre rail gateway on the Seoul–Busan corridor. It is a useful arrival point for a Busan visit, but you still need to plan the journey from the station to your accommodation or sightseeing area.
Confirm that Busan Station fits your itinerary
Check the arrival station before buying a train ticket. A city search can show different station choices, and the best one depends on where you are staying. For a Seoul–Busan KTX journey, read the actual destination on the offer rather than relying on the route title alone.
Arrange the next leg before arrival
Save your hotel’s name and address, ideally in Korean as well as English. Compare current local transit, taxi or walking directions from the station. Coastal attractions and hotels can require an additional trip. Use a live map for the route, operating hours and any service changes.
Keep the ticket and luggage accessible
Have the issued railway ticket ready for inspection and check your carriage before collecting bags. Keep valuables with you and make sure you can move your luggage through the station. For accessibility needs, contact the operator or station in advance to check current assistance arrangements.
Departing from Busan
Check the train number, date and departure time on your ticket against the departure display. The destination shown on a board may be the train’s final stop; use the train number to confirm your service. Follow the latest platform guidance and allow enough time to reach your carriage.
Book the return with clear conditions
For a trip back to Seoul, search Busan to Seoul on the required date. Check departure and arrival stations, class and the full price again. If using KoreaTrain, manual fulfilment applies: a payment confirmation is not the issued train ticket. Keep onward flight or appointment times in mind when choosing the return departure.
